BREAK A LEG!
TEMPO’S ‘CAST’ PROBLEMS
Tempo are used to the trials and tribulations involved in putting on a show in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Producer Ken Kinnear was quite expecting this to double this year, as they are putting on two shows. The decision to embark on this ambitious plan was just the beginning of Tempo’s headache as gradually, one by one, four members of the company (including three cast members of The Full Monty) gave a new meaning and emphasis to the phrase ‘Break-a-leg’.
It all started back in April – Norma (playing Vicki) – broke her right foot (5th metatarsal) then Gaby (playing Georgie) – had surgery to reconstruct her cruciate ligament (left knee)then Peter (playing sexy stripper Keno) – fractured 2 bones in his left fibula then Scott (Stage Manager) – broke his left fibula!! However….. The Show Must Go On and the good news is that all four have made excellent progress and, in true theatrical style, these troupers are now ready, willing and able to tread the boards for both shows.
